The harmful side of basking has a greater effect than the advantages. These effects are determined by some factors. The best known is the time that one is exposed. Longer exposure may cause blisters, burns or swellings. Finally one might fall sick.

Skin cancer is another very bad effect of sunbathing. It is a disease no one would desire to ever get infected of. Over the past few years, it has become quite widespread all over the world. Those who have pale skins are more prone to contracting this disease. Hence, one has to use sun blocks to prevent this problem.

Exposure of the skin during summer may make your skin to age faster. This includes getting a lot of wrinkles at a young age. Being irreversible, one should take care not to contract it so as to avoid all that. Sunscreens may be applied to prevent worse effects.

When summer approaches, everyone desires to go outside to bask. This is not a problem if it is done once in a while. To some, it has become a complete addiction.
